Localized truce facilitates evacuation from Oleshky

News

A temporary truce enabled civilians to evacuate the Russian-occupied city of Oleshky. These individuals have returned to Ukrainian-controlled territory and reunited with their families. It's fascinating to see a localized truce actually work... especially in such a high-conflict zone. I'm really curious about the communication chain here... like, how do they synchronize the ceasefire window across the lines without it collapsing immediately? Does this set a precedent for other trapped populations... or is the specific geography of Oleshky the only reason this worked?
