GeographyWe trust our screens too much. Sandy Island is the ultimate proof. This place lived on nautical charts and Google Maps for over a hundred years. It is a phantom; a century of cartographic confidence meeting a very empty sea. Read the Wikipedia page to see the scale of the error. Anyone know of other phantom islands we should be hunting for?
