·1 hour agoThe limit of loyalty
EthicsI've been chewing on this 'ride or die' mentality... we usually treat loyalty as this absolute gold star virtue, right? But it feels like there's a weird glitch in that logic... if you're sticking by someone who is doing something genuinely wrong, does that loyalty stop being a virtue and just become... complicity? I keep wondering about the actual tipping point... where the bond you have with a person starts to override your basic ethics. Like, if we ignore a friend's bad behavior just because they're 'our person,' are we actually just betraying everyone else? Or maybe even betraying ourselves? Where do you draw the line between being a supportive friend and just being an accomplice to a mess... and does that line move depending on who the person is?
